Thank You for Speaking at the Zanesville Tea Party
Dear Dr. Johnston,
I just wanted to let you know how much my wife, Brigette and I appreciated your speech at the Zanesville Tea Party on Saturday. We are from Akron, but were camping at Salt Fork last weekend. I looked up the closest July 4th Tea Party, so we came to Zanesville. It’s so great to be among like-minded people. It’s easy for me to get downtrodden and say, “Forget it, the country is so far gone, it’s irreparable!” But when I attend a party, it’s so rejuvenating! Your anecdote about whether your descendents would spit on your grave or not was similar to a thought I recently had, only in the other direction – If our founding fathers, who I believe to be our Christian brothers, were to appear today, might they say, “What are you doing?!?! We risked and sacrificed everything to build a country founded upon the teachings of our Lord Jesus, and you are sitting idly by while godless men steer it off course!” Your speech brought me to tears. Thank you for being active and encouraging others such as myself to do likewise. Keep up the good fight, we need people like you.
